East Africa Portland Cement Co   (EAPCC) is planning a KES30.53bn (US$200m) clinker line in Kajiado county, Kenya. The plant, which will have a clinker capacity of approximately 5000tpa, will be located on a 300-acre greenfield site. Commissioning of the new IKN cooler at the Malogoszcz cement plant in Poland is about to start. Nigeria's Kalambaina Cement (BUA Cement) is set to launch its 3Mta second line in July this year, which is expected to increase supply and stabilise the price of cement, according to the company.
